Dr.
Frederick H. Sammons is a native of Huntington, West Virginia. He
graduated from Huntington High School and attended the University of Kentucky
for undergraduate school. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree from West Virginia University and as a graduating dental student,
was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Sammons worked in the Prosthodontic Department at the West Virginia University Dental School as an instructor. After teaching full time, he entered the Graduate Program of Orthodontics at West Virginia University, receiving his Masters Degree in the dental specialty of Orthodontics in 1980. Since graduation, Dr. Sammons has practiced orthodontics in the Huntington, Barboursville, and Teays Valley area. Dr. Sammons is active in various civic organizations, has lectured to local community groups, and regularly attends continuing education seminars. He is a member of the Huntington Downtown Kiwanis Club and a supporter of Marshall University. He is a member of the Southern Association of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Sammons is the Past President of both the Huntington Dental Society and the West Virginia Orthodontic Association. Dr. Sammons is married to Elizabeth, a Huntington native, and they have two children, Maggie and Drew. |
